Its no wonder that the popularity of electric scooters and go carts has soared in recent years.
   In China for instance, millions of people use electric scooters for their daily commute to work. And with the advent of Lithium Polymer (or Li-po) batteries, scooters can now go much farther and weigh a lot less than they did before, when they used heavy nickel cadmium batteries.
   You would think that with the great interest in electric scooters, there would be a smorgasboard of plans available on the internet for the home experimenter. But sadly that is not the case. In fact, it takes some real digging to find the 'good' ones. Building your own electric scooter is a very rewarding process.
